
Dual Eligible Special Needs Plans(D-SNPs)
Dual Eligible Special Needs Plans (D-SNPs) offer the benefits of Medicare Advantage at an inexpensive cost to those eligible. You qualify for this plan if you are “dually eligible” for both Medicare and Medicaid.

D-SNP Eligibility Requirements
According to the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), you are eligible for a D-SNP plan if:

You are receive Full Medicaid benefits

You are a Qualified Medicare Beneficiary without other Medicaid (QMB Only)

You receive QMB Plus

You are a specified Low-Income Medicare Beneficiary without other Medicaid (SLMB Only)

You receive SLMB Plus
-
You are a Qualifying Individual (QI)

You are a Qualified Disabled and Working Individual (QDWI)
Coverage and Benefits
Because D-SNP plans are a form of Medicare Advantage, you will receive many of the same benefits. You will also receive all of the coverage of Original Medicare (Parts A and B), including short-term emergency and medical care. Some of the additional Advantage benefits may include:
